DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT- FIRE STATION 35

Solutions : Steel
Regions : Metro Colorado

Fire Station 35 is the fifth fire station at Denver International Airport. Built to withstand a catastrophic event, this 100-year facility includes dorm and admin space, a hose tower, four large apparatus bays, bunker room and hazmat response capabilities. The contemporary-designed fireproof building resembles an airplane hangar. Metal panels on the facade give it a modern look, adding texture that gives the building depth and different appearances throughout the day as shadows create interesting visual effects.

RK Steel fabricated and installed the structural and miscellaneous steel for the project including unique rolled joists and beams for the roof structure.
