The skid prepares upstream gas for processing downstream according to the following process:
Gas enters the system through the tube of the exchanger.
Once in the exchanger, the warm natural gas is cooled by passing through the cold liquid gas exiting the skid.
The gas leaving the gas/liquid exchanger flows through the tube of the gas/gas exchanger.
It is then further cooled by passing through the gas that is exiting the phase separator.
Once the gas has been cooled by the exchangers, the separator separates the very cold natural gas into warmer gas and low temperature liquid.
The liquid natural gas is sent backward through the shell of the gas/liquid exchanger, cooling the incoming gas and then out of the skid to be processed downstream.
The separated gas flows backward through the shell of the gas/gas exchanger and then to the gas outlet.
