The Jackson Community Center for the Arts project created a campus that brought together 20 local arts and education organizations. Constructed in two phases, the Center for the Arts includes a 525-multi-functional seat theater. In addition to accommodating a wide variety of performance types, the theater can also modify its seating capacity to ensure an intimate experience for every audience. The underside of the seating arena is exposed and visible from the lobby below. Consisting of four levels, the public area of the Center features lower and upper lobbies, a box office, gallery, rehearsal facilities, access to multi-level seating, scene shop, ceramics studio, dance studios, drawing and painting studios, and classrooms that serve community organizations and academic institutions, as well as other administrative and support spaces.
