National Data Center West Data Hall 5

National Data Center West ensures that services are constantly available
to customers nationwide. In recent years the facility
underwent an expansion adding 75% more capacity and can support 16,000kW of IT load on a 36” deep raised access floor. The new retrofit Data Hall 5 is located on the third-story roof of the existing hall.

The RK Steel team designed, prefabricated and installed all of the structural steel, custom rails and grating and stairs for the project. All items were hoisted to the roof using a 175-ton crane and set to the final position for detail and connection. The structural steel and grating installed support two new HVAC units.
