Designed in accordance with NHERP criteria, the new air traffic control tower at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs was built to enhance the reliability of the air traffic control mission at the academy. Key features of the facility include an uninterruptible power supply, standby generator, redundant chiller systems, surveillance/security systems, wet pipe fire sprinkler system and fire pump.
