Established in 2011 by the Kinning family, the RK Foundation supports qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit and public organizations whose missions align with our commitment to community development, education and health. By investing in programs that strengthen communities and expand opportunities, we strive to create positive change that extends well beyond the projects we build.
What makes the RK Foundation unique is how it’s funded. Proceeds from recycling scrap metal generated throughout RK’s fabrication facilities and project sites are reinvested directly into the RK Foundation, transforming everyday operations into meaningful support for local communities.
Investing in the Future Workforce
A core focus of the RK Foundation is developing the next generation of construction and manufacturing professionals. Through strategic investments in workforce development, skilled trades education and construction management programs, we create pathways to rewarding careers while strengthening the future of our industry.
The RK Foundation is also committed to expanding opportunities for women in construction, supporting initiatives that encourage greater participation and representation across the skilled trades.
As part of this commitment, the RK Foundation established the first named scholarship for Construction Project Management students within the Department of Engineering and Engineering Technology at Metropolitan State University of Denver. By investing in future industry leaders, we’re shaping a stronger workforce for Colorado and beyond.
